Sherlock Holmes is asked by the police to help solve a vicious murder. On the wall of the room, the body is discovered and a word is written in blood. As the mystery is solved it seems stranger than before, involving a revenge and a story of the Wild West. This is the story in which Dr. Watson first meets Sherlock Holmes.
